It’s the natural instinct of a parent to protect your little ones at all costs, and we want to make sure that nothing ever happens to them. After all, it’s a parent’s responsibility to keep children safe and act as their protector, whatever may happen.

However, this also works the other way around. Once they reach a certain age, children will have the instinct to protect their parents as well.

Luckily, a parent protecting their child is something that occurs much more often, but sometimes it’s the grown-ups that need assistance.

Tracy Anderwald recently got in quite the predicament and even feared for her life at one point.

The woman, mom of a beautiful daughter named Allison, was rescued by her little girl in the swimming pool.

It all started when Tracy took her five-year-old girl to her sister’s house, to enjoy a bit of mommy and daughter time at the swimming pool.

However, suddenly mom just fell face-first in the swimming pool in an instant.

Tracy was having a seizure and there was nothing she could do about it.

As if a seizure wasn’t serious enough, the fact that she fell in the swimming pool made matters even worse. She was completely unconscious. If nobody helped her, she would’ve just drowned.

However, there was somebody there who made sure that wouldn’t happen: little Allison made the rescue and saved her mom’s life without even thinking about it.

It’s perfectly normal to panic, especially at this age, but she managed to control herself and acted quickly to save her mom.

The five-year-old first yelled at her mom, but when she noticed that she wasn’t responding, she jumped into the water and swam towards her.

It’s a good thing that Allison already learned how to swim, but it must’ve been quite a difficult task nonetheless.

Using her own strength, the little girl managed to push mom to the shallow end of the pool.

Now that she was in a somewhat safer spot, Allison also made sure to flip her mom around with her back facing the water instead of face-first, to make sure she wouldn’t drown.

When mom was a little safer, little Allison started running into the house to try and get help.

Luckily, Allison’s aunt Tedra was nearby and underway to the house.

The aunt immediately dialed 911 and ran towards her. Emergency services arrived rather quickly, thankfully, and Tracy was then rushed to the Christus Spohn Hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Luckily, in the end, it all ended well. Tracy woke up at the hospital and her life wasn’t in danger anymore, but she couldn’t remember a thing.

She was also shocked to hear that it was actually her little girl who saved her life!

“The doctors explained to us that had Tracy been underwater any longer, she probably wouldn’t be with us right now. It is truly amazing that this little girl, who’s actually also pretty small for her age, was able to save my sister,” aunt Tedra revealed to ABC News.

If Allison hadn’t intervened, it’s likely that her mom would’ve suffered from severe brain damage, paralysis or even wouldn’t have made it at all.

Allison is truly the guardian angel of the family, and they couldn’t praise the brave efforts of their little girl enough.

If there is one thing that both Tracy and Tedra want people to learn from this story, its that it’s important to teach your children how to swim early – it can save lives and this is perfect proof of that.
